Estimating the Length of the Bezel for a oval Stone and the
desired size shank.
To estimate the
length of the shank, do the following calculation:
Diameter + Thickness of metal x PI (3.1416)
D+TM×π=RB
Estimating the Length of the Bezel for a Oval Stone
To estimate the
length of the bezel for an oval stone, do the following calculation:
Length + Width ÷ 2 + thickness of metal x PI (3.1416)
L+W÷2+ TM×π=OB
After all calculations are obtain draw the template
for the ring. Below:
• Measure the circumference of your finger and draw on paper a circumference equal in length to which you will have the ring.
• Draw a tangent to the point H
• Draw a CD parallel to this tangent line which corresponds to the position of the base of the stone to be set on the ring.
• Now draw a line perpendicular to CD passing through the circle’s center and passing through the point F.
• In CD mark the point G, established considering that FG is equal to half the width of the stone or ring base.
• Trace another tangent to the circle through G, cutting the line perpendicular to E.
• Using this point as center draw an arc that passes through F and another passing through H.
• Check the FJ length, considering that shall be equal to one quarter of the circumference of the stone, joining E to J.
• Cut a piece of wire of length equal to half the circumference of the finger. Fold until its shape matches the curve KL , watch out when providing the width needed.

la longitud de la cubierta de una piedra ovalada y caña del tamaño deseado.
Para
calcular la longitud de la caña, hacer el siguiente cálculo:
Diámetro del dedo + grosor
de la lamina x PI (3,1416)
D + TD × π = tamaño de la sortija.
La estimación de
la longitud del bisel para una una piedra ovalada
Para
calcular la longitud del bisel de una piedra ovalada, haga el siguiente
cálculo:
Longitud + ancho
÷ 2 + espesor del metal x PI (3,1416)
L + W ÷ 2 + TM × π = OB
Después de
obtener en línea todos los cálculos se elaborará una plantilla
para el anillo. A continuacion:
1. Mida el perímetro del dedo y trace en un papel una circunferencia de longitud igual a la que va a tener el anillo.
2. Trace una tangente al punto H
3. Dibuje una línea CD paralela a esta tangente, la cual corresponderá a la situación de la base de la piedra a engastar en el anillo.
4. Trace ahora una línea perpendicular a CD que atraviese la circunferencia pasando por su centro y por el punto F.
5. En CD marque el punto G, establecido teniendo en cuenta que FG será igual a la mitad del ancho de la piedra o la base del anillo.
6. Trace otra tangente a la circunferencia que pase por G, cortando la línea perpendicular en E.
7. Utilizando este punto como centro dibuje un arco que pase por F y otro que pase por H.
8. Marque la longitud FJ, teniendo en cuenta que deberá ser igual a una cuarta parte de la circunferencia de la piedra, uniendo E con J.
9. Corte un trozo de alambre de, longitud igual a la mitad de la circunferencia del dedo. Dóblelo hasta que su forma coincida con la curva KL, cuidado con proporcionarle el ancho necesario.
